KAAT EXHIBITION 2017

THE POETRY

All of art works don’t announce some words for be the art work itself. However, when they meet us, they evoke various words with intention put in by artist, fascination, story, colorful and technical imagination. In this exhibition, 6 artists of Japanese style painting or sculpture attempt experimentally to frame out their activity so far at Kanagawa Arts Theatre, such as performing arts studio. It appears full of emotional “forest” of contemporary art there by involving the dexterity and beating rhythm in it together that lyric surface of materials configured Japanese paper, Sumi, mineral pigments, and myriad sculptures consist of stones, glasses and metals. We will experience ever fleshly to put ourselves in the forest. Shall we stroll “forest of the poetry” like floating in raging words to encounter works?

Open Theatre 2017

“Open theatre” which can open the KAAT Kanagawa Arts Theatre which has held numerous performances and can enjoy the enjoyment of creation.
At “Open Theatre 2017”, we will experiment with how contemporary artists and sculpture, video works, photographs and lacquer art appear in all places in the theatre and how they relate to theatres. We also hold various events such as gallery talk by artists, workshops, and performances that can only be experienced this day. Art of various genres crossing contemporary art will intersect, the possibility of new expression will be born. Enjoy the world of the KAAT Kanagawa Arts Theatre, which relieves the image of theatre and actively involves art.
